SPY WEAR

We willingly carry a sophisticated surveillance device everywhere we go, keeping it close at hand, beside our beds and sometimes even taking it into the bathroom. It can see, hear and record our movements, monitor our habits, track our location and quietly build an increasingly detailed picture of who we are. Every search, swipe, conversation and late-night impulse becomes another piece of data fed into algorithms designed to predict what we'll do next, what we might desire and, most importantly, what we might be persuaded to buy. It's perhaps the greatest confidence trick of the digital age: we've invited the ultimate spy into our lives, given it access to our most intimate moments, and happily agreed to pay for the privilege.
